Default Looking for a leak?

Found the passenger side rug wet today and thought it was the heater core. Just did a full rebuild of the HVAC box on my 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 about a month ago. So I pulled the dash back again and removed heater core and it was bone dry with no residue in bottom of box. Any thought on what else could be leaking. It was wet under the grey barrier in the attached photo. On another not when I pulled both heater hoses from engine compartment they were tight but not really tight so is it possible that antifreeze leaked around black foam pad around core outlets and dripped down. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have been using ac daily. Was getting ready to pull down actuator and see if it's broken since I have no heat when this leak happened. Would of not noticed it if i didn't pull up rubber mat to shake out sand. Could be small leak, only had truck running for 2 months since hvac rebuild.

Check and see that the drain for the evaporator core is in place, and not plugged up.

I had that problem with 'ol blue (96 dodge ram 1500). Cleaned drain, caulked around drain in engine bay. No bueno! I bought a pvc 90 degree angle and a foot of cheap rubber hose from auto parts house. Stuck the ***'y to the a/c drain. Made sure the hose stuck out into the under vehicle airstream, and cut the hose at an angle so that as air passed it formed a suction...in addition to the drain. No more wet carpet!

Check the gasket that goes around the drain tube, When water comes out it will sometimes roll backwards to the interior and get past the gasket.

It's been a long time, but I think it was a 1/2 ID.
