Default Brake fittings may be AN look at photos please

1998 Ram 1500 4x4

I'm trying to repair a line and have run into a fitting issue. There's a 3/16 coupler connecting 2 female nuts. Under the nuts are ferrules, that apparently are AN from what I've gathered. By looking at the photos, could you recommend a solution?

The other end is a 1/2 20 male fitting. Does my solution look like it would work on this?

Thanks!

under the nut with ferrule attached and inside the male/male connector to note mating surface

one of the nuts with ferrule attached side view of male/male connector

This end of the brake line goes into a block under the left wheel well. Would this adapter arrangement I have work?

Those are compression fittings, and are not for use on brake lines.

If you're referring to the 1/2 20 brass adapter, you're probably correct there. The others are supposedly AN, but darned if I can locate these online.

The fitting to the left in your last photo is a factory brake fitting and looks to still be usable. If you have a double flaring tool, you can remove the old piece of tubing from that fitting, cut the flare off of your new tubing, insert the new tubing into the fitting and flare the end with the double flaring tool. As for the other fittings, they don't appear to be factory and are likely part of a repair job done on that brake line in the past.
