True, chalk it up to driving like a dummy in a 5 speed maybe?

Could have been that. Downshifted and hit or went above the redline. Just keep an eye and ear out for anything strange!

Seems I was a bit optimistic about the spare parts. I had assumed rocker arms from a 360 would work, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Does anybody have a lead or a parts engine that I could get a rocker arm and pedestal from?

There is little info at best. Doesn't seem to be the same part, although the rocker arm may work. It's primarily the pivot I'm having trouble narrowing down.

car-part.com...... should be able to find some on the used market.

5.9 and 8.0 have different part numbers. No idea what the difference is, I had thought they would be the same, as the 8.0 is essentially a 5.9 with a couple extra cylinders...... Searching by the part number, most of it is discontinued..... doesn't seem to be any aftermarket support at all.
