ok so i got it out.. i used paper clips 1 in the Green (i guess thats the postive fuel pump) and i just stuck another paper clip in one of the black wires guessing for ground

didnt get a horn.. fixed up my mulitmeter..

what i get when i turn to contact is
9volts jumps to 12volts then drops down to 0

havent tried a clean ground.. but seems i getting power ok to the pump? or do i need to test the Blue wire and the other ground

You can get a service manual for your truck from here. Wiring diagrams are in section 8W. That should at least tell you what pin the wires for the pump are in on the connector.

ya looks like it they say a dg/bk and a black wire.. but doesnt say which ground wire is it on the plug on page 83-12-2 and i dont see a dark blue and light blue wire.. cant get my head up in there for that ground
but seems i chose the right right green is the pump and i just chose a black... my eyes not good enough from the distance to tell between darkblue with light blue vs black wire... guess i can try both

but so far it flips 9volts then jumps to 12 volts and then back down 0 so that has to be the fuel pump working at least

Look in the connector pinout section for that connector. It will tell you which wire is which.

forgot to add
i get the 12volts to the fuel pump connectors with multifunction plugged in or unplugged
when i had it plugged in it was doing 9 to 12 to 0
when i had unplugged it was doing 14 to 12 to 0 even though cant be 14 no charger plugged in

now if i plug pump back in.. when multifunction not plugged in.. i dont hear the pump or the thud
plug the switch back in. turn key to on i hear something then the thud.. so pump is then working with the mulit function plugged in.. but wont work when its unplugged

so im stuck in the manual i trying to figure
the connector driver side fender
book says See fig 10 and i see it must be S331 page 8w-95-11
but when i goto the connector section there is no s331 connector
whats the name of that connector but the index page says s308 s307

so i lost as i wanted to see what the wires are at the fender cowl connector

page 8w -80 -1
doesnt show S331 doesnt say Left Fender frame wire or anything like that

since u guys can read this FSM wire digrams better then me
is any of the wires in the multifunction switch linked to something that shares with the fuel pump?

cuz i getting frustrated tried swapping everything out.. i going to try unplugging the 2nd O2 sensor as i stuck

if i pull all relays to hear the fuel pump
fuel pump works when multifunction switch is plugged in..
but not when its unpluged

but
if i hook a multiple meter to connectior the outside ground and pump pistive i get power when mulit function is in and when its unplugged
i confused... i still cant find the fender wire plug

if i start the truck with the mulitfunction switch plugged in its running when i pull out the mulitifunction switch truck shuts off..
i took the cover under the steering column off to see inside there i dont see damaged wires.. i dont see anywhere damage
ugh
do i unplug everything like i dont know where to look

S indicates it's a splice.

Ok, looks like something a lot of those systems have in common is the ground location.... (and splice 331 is in the ground circuit as well.) They all go to the same place. G100, which is up by the windshield washer fluid tank. There are a couple grounds in that neighborhood, check 'em all.

ok thanks i was trying to see location of the s331 but it wouldnt show me what Connector it is.. of the 20 wires the 2 plugs but ok
ill check i know i have least 1 ground that side had to remake it when i reput the transmission back n 2 yrs ago.. that ground strap was rotted to the engine.. and then there is the 3 ground wires by pass side of the engn close to the center off set.. bt ill look where the fluid tank is and pull it out if i have to... frustrating... li tell ya... and from the descriptions i been saying

is it for sure ground wire thats bad or is it something else and am i going to have to pull off all the wireloom in the end to see if any wires melted or i guess thats a last resort kinda thing

but ill go do that and look for grounds
