Default Fuel pump float keeps falling off?

This is going to be the 4th time I drop my gas tank to reinstall the float on the arm. Does anybody have a suggestion what I can use to stop this from happening? Because apparently the slightest bump will knock the float loose. The fuel pump is a Delphi. Thank you all.

It should have a washer and a river on the end to keep it from falling off

Unfortunately this one came with the snap on float. Not the riveted style float.

Warranty it out, if you can. If you can't, replace it with a better quality unit.
