Cooling system issues
Sometimes though, it's just luck of the draw. I parked my truck on a hill, with a significant pucker-factor...... and my heat still sucked.

I theorized a 'flush T' in the line coming out of the heater core, as close to the core as you can get, should work just great.... Unfortunately, on the 98, with the 8.0... there isn't any room to play back there.
Well, they came from the factory bled perfectly and mechanics can bleed them perfectly, so it has to be achievable. (I'm telling this to myself as well regarding my stupid steering pump fiasco.)
(I should find the pic of my truck parked on the hill.
I *might* have posted it here somewhere, many years ago.

Maybe the hill thing doesn't work since the whole "system" was too ****-eyed or something. I just jacked the right corner way up. But I guess there's easy ways to get air in there too.
Or, we should start a "bleeders anonymous" group so we can share our horror stories. "Hi, I'm Ramman, and I can't bleed my steering."

I think the folks at the factory have a machine that pulls a vacuum on the system, and THEN injects the coolant. That would make life MUCH easier...... and I haven't see what hoops 'average' mechanics jump thru to get them bled out properly. I sure haven't had a lot of success..... and I've jumped thru some pretty significant hoops.

The thing that bothers me is, whether coolant system or steering or whatever, if air can get in, why can't fluid get out? If there's a leak, I should be able to see said fluid/coolant/water,etc. weeping out, right? Uggggahh
