Default my 2001 ram 1500 5.2

i picked up this ram 1500 with the 5.2 5 speed manual. it only has 105,000 miles.i only payed 3000 for the truck. wondering whats the biggest tire i can fit on it with out a lift kit. also wondering what kind of after market parts i can add to it to get it louder and more power. also not wanting to empty my bank account doing so.

33 is the biggest tire.
Shorty headers, aftermarket cat back exhaust at least 2.5, and a tune. If you can do the work I would recommend a cam before the tune but will need a tune to run the cam

Dang, I'm jealous! You'll love it! Mine's still kicking after 21.5 years and 270k.

Best thing to do is a Cat-back system and KN drop in filter. The rest is just bragging rights. I'm on my third exhaust and just installed the cat-less Jegs Ypipe with a straight pipe and glass pack. She roars now!

And yeah, I fit 285s on stock wheels before I even lifted it. But I've seen several trucks sporting 295s on stockers so that's possible as well.

I've lived with this truck as a daily driver for 20 years now and have replaced or fixed everything at least once except the drivetrain. Anything you need, just ask.

thanks.. ill look into it.. it has aftermarket duel exhaust right now, but i want more tone, i was thinking true duel exhaust.

Don't waste your time with true duals. You'd need headers, x pipe, special mountings, custom sensor welds, and a tune. Just swap the muffler itself with a different one. Look at Flowmaster's site. There's tons of options from mild, moderate, and wild.

Don't need a tune with just exhaust mods. Doing things like the cam, or better heads, then you would need a tune.

oh ok... yeah. i was looking at flow master 40's. i hear its kind of rare to fine the ram 1500 5.2 in a 5 speed. any truth to that?

Might not need one, but if you're doing headers and true duals, you will want one. Every time I've altered my exhaust, it runs different and mileage changes. Especially when I removed the cat. If you're going that deep, I would look into one that can maximize those changes.

Default fluid change

so i changed my transfer case oil and when i drained it only about half a quart came out of it which i can only assume is bad.. i filled it and it only took about a quart and a quarter. so also i was wondering i have a manual transmission and noticed there is another drain and fill plug on the transmission, what would that be for?

Exactly what you would think. Drain and fill the trans. I don't recall what fluid they take though. T-case is a separate entity from the trans. They don't share fluid.
