2001 Ram 2500 360 V8 with NV4500
I had to make a 4hr one way to to load a cab into the bed of my truck. Was fine going down, but coming back I got a bucking (like a miss but it's not a miss) around 3K depending on what gear in I'm. It would go any higher. I thought it was the cat was clogging but you can rev it just fine.
I pulled over and noticed the crankcase vent and the evap line on the throttle body got disconnected. Started it up everything was fine for a few miles then it started again. I found out of your shut the truck off and restart it you are good to go for a few miles.
For example I was in 4th had to downshift and when it got to 2800rpm it started bucking. Upshifted and when you started to get close to 3000rpm it would start to shake. No noise just bucking. RPMs would bounce to.
Didn't look at anything yet. Just figured you guys might think of something I didn't.

Is it only in one specific gear? Or does gear not matter?? Sure sounds like a miss, or maybe a missing tooth on one of the trans gears?

Any gear seems to be around 3000rpm. Its definitely not trans or mechanical. As if you turn the truck off and immediately start it up it's fine for 20 or more miles. USUALLY my check engine light will flash if it's a miss. I know it's not a missing tooth. I went to look under the hood and it's frozen shut lolOriginally Posted by HeyYou

I tried she's not interested :b would have been helpful since her new Equinox needs a new engine. I told her not to buy GM lol. I'll have to take the truck for a drive and have her watch specific data on the scan toolOriginally Posted by HeyYou

hell even most "men" around here don't even do it. Only people who still do it are my neighbors on their farms and they are in their 60s. I am the only young guy
