Will 305x55 R20 on 20x10 8x6.5 -24 fit w/o rubbing, trimming, or modding?
Or, with the same set up, but with 50s instead of 55s?
Also, to who might know, what is the biggest tire that can run on the above wheel/rim mentioned? Again, w/o rubbing, trimming, or modding in anyway?
Note: Things to consider
01, 2500 quad cab, 5.9 L, 4 3/4” factory lift, 17” stock wheels, (current tire) 265x75 R16, added the biggest fender flares I could find with the front flares are 2 5/8” past the outside wall of thef current tire & 3 1/4” for the rear.
Factory lift? Didn't even know that was an option.... But, with almost 5" of lift, the tire height won't be a problem, not sure about how wide they are though. (12 inches.....)
Sorry, not factory lift, on 4 3/4” lift blocks, I’m assuming it’s factory. I bought the truck more then 10 yrs ago off a woman who’s late husband was the first owner of the truck. She wasn’t very knowledgeable whether or not the lift blocks were factory, again I just assumed.
It was early in the morning when I originally posted this, then for what ever reason I had to repost it 3 hrs later.
Yeah I believe you’re correct, as far as with the 305/55 R20.
The store I’m getting my setup from ended up calling me asking if I’d be ok with going down to 305/50 R20 because they were worried of possible rubbing due to the size flares & the lift blocks on mine. The “kicker” is when placing my order the sales rep. guaranteed me absolutelyno rubbing with the 55s.
Now I get that 55 vs 50 is less then a 1/4”, but it’s still aggravating.
I’m thinking there still might be a little rubbing even with the 50s.
Reason is when looking on Custom Wheel Offset website there are a couple of conflicting statements with people who have 2nd Gen., same wheel type & specs, with stock suspension & no spacers.
But, they vary in what tire size & type they have.
One has a very similar type of tire at 305/50 and mentioned a slight rubber at full lock. I’m guessing it’s on the control arm since he doesn’t have flares & has a 4th Gen. bumper on 2nd Gen.
Another, claims to have 320/60 tires (that appear to be either MT or hybrid tires) states no rubbing. I would think MT’s or hybrids even at 305/50 would have a more possible chance of rubbing vs AT.

The look I’m shooting for is the one with similar tires (as fas as offset goes), but with the same flares as the one in the other pic.
I’m open to any insight anyone may have who knows their S*** when it comes to aftermarket wheels & tires.
Thank you to those who have already responded, your insight has been very helpful.
This is the one that has the similar type of tire but a slight rubbing. This one has the more aggressive tires, but claims there’s no rubbing. Now I don’t know if it’s just because of those flares, but it looks as though the wheels don’t have as much of an offset as the ones do in the other pic.
Can't help you much nevertheless at my shop I don't install rims bigger then 17s and I like my tires with no offset. Not a fan of the sticking out look.
