2001 Ram Brake problems - need help
#21
Hydraboost, will try to install the brake hoses tomorrow, work permitting, on call this week at the hospital. Could hydraboost be causing me problems? Pedal feels like it bumps or moves under foot when starting to brake slowly. Not always, but definitely there.

Well time is up and brake light back on. Made it 4 days without a problem.. I need to see where I can get the brake codes read.. haven't felt a problem braking yet. But who knows.

I've had this exact same problem since I bought my truck in 2004. I have never been able to find a reason or clear the problem. I replace pads every 6-8 months or so, and the brake rotor once a year, just part of maintenance for me. I have replaced everything, even the ECM, no change.

Problem may be solved. Replaced right front abs sensor. Brake light has been off for a week now. For a part held on by one bolt, it was incredibly difficult to replace. Bolt easy to remove but sensor could not even be driven out from the back side. Ended up driving the center section out and then collapsing the envelope and working from bolt sides to get it out. I guess it rusted in, but you would never imagine a piece of plastic that difficult to remove.
