I havne't done it either although have wanted to I saw a link saying how to do it one time then couldn't find it again and people told me they didn't know of a link and thought I was crazy. I may try it. Any negative effects it may cause?
I can't think of any negative effects, other than some people on the other forum said they thought it might be illegal. I don't see this as a problem. The mod that turns the low and high beams on at the same time looks a little scary to me though.....might be too much heat.....
Have had the dual headlight mod on mine for a long time now, no issues at all

Really! Some people on the other forum mentioned melting the lens covers. I kind of wondered about that. So - would you suggest both mods?

that sucks about your surgery, hope your back on your feet soon!

from the text in the link it looks like it's supposed to keep your low beams & high beams on at the same time. unless I missed something, that mod may not be a good one if you have to get someones attention and your high beams are already on. check out this link on a group buy (closed by now) where you can get the dual sport lights, both lights on each side are always on for low beam and you still have high beams on both sides, plus you'd be setup to run 4 55 watt bulbs, all on at the same time. they are really great for lighting up someones back window when they're being a slow poke in the fast lane.

I can still flash from low to high which is what your thinking of Steve, Im not usually coming up on someone I have to flash with my highbeams on, only thing this did for mine is when high bean switch is activated it burns all four bulbs, i can still flash oncoming vehicles from low. As for melting the headlight len's, I havent noticed anything melting, or a decrease in bulb life.....yet.

i did that mod but i didnt see any threads or posts on how to do it... i just re-wired my wiring that is in the colum for it... i might check that out and see if there is an easier way to do it... 12volts is my bag so it was pretty easy... i just wired in a 775 relay and bang...it worked... that fog light mod looks nice and tasty though... but my headlight switch that pulls for fogs is busted... missing on the little ballbearigns used to connect the circuit on the seperate tracks... i gotta get around to getting a new one off ebay sometime... id rather not have to make a new switch for it... looks tacky.. anywho.. awesome!

that need for the high beams is far to great for me not to have it... but I hear what your saying. there are so many "new" drivers here in CA that you occasionally need to remind them what the slow lane is for...
