I think some are getting confused about which mod is which-
Foglight mod is done by simply jumping the relay under the hood with either a wire or a switch like I did.
High/low headlight on at the same time is a different mod- you locate the 2 wires under your steering column and use a jumper to put both wires together- color of wires may vary from year to year but it seems that 98-01 are the same color.
This mod is described in the Dodge ram Faq page that steve started on the main 2nd Gen page at the top.

here is anouther tip to get more light out of the front of your ram
You can use a relay to turn on your low beam lights on wen the highbeam is on this way you dont run the risk of burning out your dimmer or headlight swirch because it is the relay switching not the dimmer or headlight switch and it only costs about 15$.
First get a relay and some wire
Second hook post 30 on the realy to the positive termnal on the battry
Third hook post 85 of the relay to a good ground
Fourth splice 86 into high beam
Fith splice 87 into low beam
and now your done and it is 100% legel at least in canada anyways (im not responcple if its not leagel where you are)if you want the option to trun this on and off(so your low beam isent always on wen highbeam is on) just hook a switch in the wire going fron 86 to highbeam and run it into your cab. this will help your low beam bulbs last longer. you can do it with a single bulb that has high and low in it too (2 headlights insted of 4) but you half to watch they dont get too hot. hope it helps

I know what you mean, we have a buttload of deer here also, and the more light the better. This is the first truck I've had with factory foglights, and I was highly disappointed to find out they weren't always on. I can't see any cops having a problem, as I ran aftermarket fogs for years with the brights and never got hassled for it......
P.S Off Road Teacher, just curious, what size wire did you use forthe jumper? Don't know if it matters......

BUTTLOAD....definition: Enough that if you drive a lot in the country or the suburbs, you run about a 75% chance of hitting one or more in the next 10 years........Friend of mine discovered the meaning of "buttload of deer" when he topped a hill at 60mph and had at least 10 in the road in front of him with no time to react. He aimed for the least amount and still got 4 or 5. One flew over the cab and knocked his tailgate completely out of the truck. Needless to say, his little S-10 was pretty well totaled.....

That is a buttload! I have thought about it and I have to use my butt joke. I was going to say 1 deer in my butt would be way over what I considered to be a lot. Sorry I had to say it. That sounds like horrible luck hitting a flock of deer in the road. But I do like your discription of butt load.
Thanks
