That's just installing the correct year governor pressure sensor/solenoid, and a clip. The only thing that changed was the resistance of the temp sensor, round vs. square connector on it, and the way the solenoid mounts. (slightly different design) I *think* the range sensor changed in 2000?? To go with the LED PRNDL??? I think the hole it screws into is larger, and the rooster comb inside the trans may be different as well.

 

Never had led PRNDL in the second gens. Some late model 2002 got it

my 01 still had the same shifter display as 98+ trucks, Ive never had or been around an 02 that was an auto, as in a 2nd gen body, id assume the 02 1500 had the LED shifter/cluster all pre 06 trucks used

 

Nope. As mentions it's the same as the 98+. Only the late 02 2nd gen got them. I leave for a few days and this forum goes to hell just kidding
