I can't help. I did my rear seal a few years ago and it leaks exactly the same as it did before. Same with the front main. In my experience, once something leaks, it forever leaks.

You could try one of those "miracle" bottles of snake juice that claims to stop rear seal leaks from autozone.

Are you sure it's coming from the rear main? And not just running down from somewhere else??

This, or front pump seal. But obviously that's ATF

Groove in crank from old seal? New seal seated perfectly square?

yea it’s pretty aggravating. My front main is good but that rear is not sealing for me

yes I’m pretty sure. Right in between the motor and trans and if I park nose down on a slanted road it doesn’t really leak since most of the oil is in the front of the pan. I also checked the oil pressure sensor that’s above and it’s dry.

it’s gotta be a groove! I’m doing this job without moving my motor or trans. After removing a refrigerant line bracket, I can finagle the oil pan right out of there (4x4). The bottom side is the only side I could see. Didn’t appear to be a groove though

You could detect a groove with your fingernail...

It is possible to install the RMS backwards-- you got it oriented correctly? And did you do a little silicone on the corners of the bearing cap before reinstalling?

Apologies on asking about square, I forgot Dodge uses a 2pc rear main ala GM

now, the first time I replaced it, I think I did have it backwards. But the second time for sure I had it right. I used silicone as well. Very small amount of red rtv. Not sure if that is the best for this application but that’s what I keep the same on my truck so I used it.

Did you lube the new seal good before installation? Putting it in dry pretty much assures it will start leaking in short order.
