I see, I’ve been wanting to get a more advanced scanner since buying my dodge but just haven’t been in a position to justify it

Well I’m back at square one before I installed new parts, truck won’t move in forward or reverse, it’s raining so I haven’t gone under the truck to unplug the governor sensor and solenoid but I assume that basically means it’s an electrical problem

Probably something else odd and strange going on, that exhibits itself as trans problem.

Ok so my theory is now that the governor pressure sensor and the 3-4 shift solenoid have shorted together, which is causing the 3-4 solenoid to never close and the governor pressure sensor to read a high voltage, this is based on the codes I have and the fact that the problems had gone away when the I unplugged the harness. I still don’t understand why the truck won’t move when they’re connected, I would expect pressure to apply when the shift linkage opens the valve

PCM controls the pressure solenoid via the ground side of the circuit. Depending on which wire is shorted.... you can get some strange behavior.

I agree. Since your problems are very similar to what you had before you changed the electronics, its entirely possible the short is somewhere between the PCM, and the trans, not necessarily INSIDE the trans.
