Adjusting the steering box

The overall design is sound from an engineering perspective, but the box's bearings and ability to support the sector shaft are marginal.
Does anyone ever step up to a 3rd Gen 2500 box?? The 3rd Gen SFA trucks don't seem to have such wander and dead spot problems? Or do they??

Not sure the method of attachment is the problem. Fords of the same era were nearly identical and didn't suffer from this problem (of course instead they wandered due to TTB). Square body Chevys weren't bad so long as the box didn't tear off the frame (common problem)
