Called dealer and the newer part fits...i did have to give the VIN. Throttle cable #:52107742AC

Dealer was out of stock and the price is $108. I found a genuine OEM cable on the bay for $67 shipped to NC. Will install ASAP and report back the progress. Fingers crossed as I've been fighting a bad shifting tranny for years.

UPDATE:
Installed the new TV cable and it was easy to do....however, the adjustment was way off....I'm taking the time to slightly adjust the cable about 1/8" at a time. Fingers crossed i find the sweet spot and my transmission issues are history.

Here's an example of how to adjust the TV cable that should help to save you some time

Did you ever get that cable adjusted correctly and fix the problem? I just had a rebuilt transmission installed in my truck, it was a 47re from here https://reman-transmission.com/trans...des/?code=47RE. I'm having some serious 2-3 shift delays and weirdness like what is described in this thread and I adjusted the cable some which definitely did something to the shifts but I'm far from fixing the problem. I highly doubt the transmission is bad because it was just installed less than 4 months ago. Does anyone know of a way to calibrate the tv cable to its factory placement?

Please see the earlier post that has a link to a video on how to adjust the TV cable. Also, feel free to speak with the folks that built your transmission. It is not at all uncommon for them to have possibly missed something in the rebuild process or possibly installed an incorrect part for your year truck. I suspect that its under a warranty and may leverage a nationwide network of transmission shops to address your issue locally to your area.

UPDATE:
It takes time to adjust the cable to the 'correct' position. After the new cable install... I kept moving it around for a few weeks and found a good position where is shifts well 95% of the time. I moved on to other projects, but feel if i keep working the cable i'll find the sweet spot.

I believe i had a bad cable, but the replacement cable needed serious adjustment. Once you do this a few times, you can unpin the clip with one hand easily and move the cable. Just be sure to move the cable in very small increments. Small movements have big effects on shifting.

Final update:

After replacing my TV cable with a new cable (read above)...it was shifting much better...but not perfect. Since then, i started slightly moving the TV cable to give more slack. Eventually i hit the sweet spot. After years of bad shifting i have it shifting perfect. No estimate or high bill from a transmission shop.
Thanks to those who suggested the TV cable. It worked out. Hope this thread helps others in the future.
