Default Brake and ABS light come on intermittently

Hello , I picked up a 99 Ram 1500 4x4 5.9l gas 46RE. The owner was an older man who was going to sell it to a junker. The truck was fully intact, never messed with. I put a battery had a key made and replaced water pump fan clutch tensioner idler pulley belt, changed all the fluids in it, put new pads and rotors, output speed sensor, speed sensor on rear end. The truck needs to pass a break and lamp inspection because the prior owner started a junk title on it. My problem is that it will not pass the break and lamp inspection because the brake light and ABS light come on intermittently. Has anyone else had this problem, if so what is the fix, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm tapped out with the little knowledge I have. My next step would be to replace the rear sensor again because I hear those are bad sometimes new , and possibly flush all the brake fluid . What do you guys think ? ? Thanks in advance I appreciate any knowledgeable advice.

PS.. I have also changed both front and rear differential fluids and my speedometer works intermittently also 🤷

Wouldn't hurt to inspect the connector and wiring from the rear sensor, also I would verify that is does not have front sensors in the wheel bearings but I dont think that was an option yet in 99, I've had alot of truck where the wire was rubbed/corroded/broken in the connector or in the wiring from the sensor up to the frame, my current truck I had to replace the wiring from the frame all teh way down to a new connector due to a cracked connector causing corrosion in the sensor terminals and the wiring rubbed in multiple spots

If you can't find anything else it seems common the module in the engine bay flakes out. It's behind the fuse box. There are places like Module Masters that can "rebuild" it

Might want to see what the fault is that is triggering the lights. There is a few posts here on it, You have to ground one of the pins on the obd connector pins then count the light flashes then you have the fault code. If you can access a scanner that reads them would be easier.

Honestly I am not sure. Might sound ignorant but I am new to these Trucks. How would I tell?

I think that 72 for the ecu needs to get solved first. If the controller is bad, then nothing else it has to say is trustworthy.

I checked the wire for continuity back at the diff. And it seems to be good. Also tested the sensor itself and it's good. Removed it just to check anything along the lines of metal on it and it's clean, as it should since I recently changed the diff fluid. Ughhhhhh....

To tell if you have 2 or 4 wheel abs look on the hubs of front tires (on the knuckle) , do you see wires going to them? If so it’s 4 wheel, no wires it’s 2 wheel
