Since it's been sitting for a decade, it might be low on refridgerant. Check that before changing parts.

What kind of vacuum are you pulling? Those are all affected by low vacuum.

I had to recharge the refrigerant. Was close to having none. It blows cold. Not sure on how much vacuum I’m pulling I’ll check that tomorrow evening.

Plenum gasket…… seems like that’s the most common issue on these trucks. I pulled the pcv from the valve cover to check for a vacuum or not. Pcv side had a lot. The valve cover had a faint vacuum to it. Actually had to use a shredded piece of plastic wrapper off a seafoam can to tell if it was sucking or blowing. If the plenum gasket is bad is it a obvious vacuum?

Depends on how bad it is. If you disconnect the PCV from the intake manifold, and still have vacuum at the oil fill, it's blown.

Got the exhaust leak fixed the other day. The muffler was plugged up too. Cut the cat out welded in a Y pipe and installed a new muffler. Truck sounds great. Went to do the anti fouler truck for the o2 sensor and it’s gone. So is the one that was before the cat. Truck runs and sounds good. Would it be best to get them to put the sensors back in? Also replaced ball joints on the passenger side. They lower one was a pain in the a$$. Got everything else to do the tie rods and sway bar links and ball joints for the drivers side.

You REALLY want the front O2 working properly, that has the biggest effect on fuel mileage than just about any other sensor.

That’s what I thought. I seen them unplug it and screw it out and assumed it was in there. Checked the cel codes and and showed up. Only reason I noticed it wasn’t there.
