Went to move the truck because it needs more work done and the dipstick reads empty. No leaks on my fittings, oil pan is clean. Oil drain plug is clean and there’s no puddle under the truck either. Is this normal???
It's basically an evolved Chrysler 727 transmission with an overdrive unit added to the back, a modified valve body, along with electrical controls that are controlled by the PCM. What's not to love?

clutches going out because they can’t handle the torque from the engine they were designed for
There are ways to deal with that issue. Add 48RE drums to it, which hold more clutches. In addition, add Reybestos JPZ clutches for greater holding power. If you add additional horsepower, the transmission will need to be beefed up to handle the power. Folks are building/beefing up 48RE transmissions to go behind high horsepower/torque modified diesel engines and they are holding up well to my knowledge.
