Delphi or Denso were OEM. I would stick with one of those two brands, as the others tend to fail rather quick. Sure, they may be cheaper, but, how often do you wanna change the pump?

Thats a good point. I was looking at one from A-Premium. It's only $50. But, i don't want to have to do this again.

Was that the entire module or just the pump?

I actually don't know if these Dodge modules can be popped open to replace just the actual pump? I've come to believe this is not a terrible option if available.

Just like re-booting CV's most shops won't bother replacing JUST a pump because of labor time, but for a guy on a budget it's worth it. Plus sometimes aftermarket sending units are less reliable or accurate than used OEM

Please use an OEM pump. Delphi or Denso and your truck will thank you. Shop around for one of these at a good price.

Nothing worse than doing that replacement job twice!

Keep in mind that the two pumps Hey suggested are good pumps but don't get concern if you go with them and don't hear the pump as you did. delphi pump is what I used and it makes no sound at but working great. good luck.

Had a friend work the key while I checked for FP sound and checked the relay. No sound from the pump but the relay clicks nicely. I'm going to go ahead and buy this fuel pressure tester because it seems like it'll have any adapters I might need. And it seems like a handy tool to have. But, it sure looks like I'm going to be replacing the pump. I did manage to find a
Delphi pump Delphi pump
for a reasonable price. That ought to make Keith and Hey You happy.

With the crank/no start, no fuel pump sound, good relay, thumping the tank to get it to start symptoms, how much more testing would you guys do before breaking down and buying that pump? I mean, I can check for air and spark easy enough. But, I don't relish the idea of trying to get a multimeter on the power line for the pump to see if it's getting power.
