Hey everyone! I have a 1999 V10 and I've had it for a few months now. About 2 weeks I was almost home from work and it just shut off, no jerking or slow idle drop just off like I turned the key still had power cranked and cranked no start. I waited 10 minutes and tried it again and it started like nothing was wrong, also no lights on or pending codes. So it's done it to me about 5 times in the last few weeks but all I do is wait about 5-10 minutes and it starts and runs great🤷 still no codes but when I put the scanner on there's no emission monitors only fuel and ccm monitor. Is that normal for a V10? Any input will be appreciated thank you.
Update! Check engine light came on while driving on the highway. P0108 MAP barometric pressure too high. Coincidence or will the Map sensor cause that issue?
MAP is pretty important..... stalling is indeed one of its failure modes. Have a scanner that can read live data?? You may have a bad sensor, or, it may be bad wiring.

Hopefully it's just the sensor. I ordered it and it should be here tomorrow. I do have a scanner that reads live data. What should I look for?
Key on, engine off, what does map have to say about manifold pressure. Start the engine, what's the reading now? If it stays the same, check the little elbow from the throttle body, to the sensor. They tend to dry out, and crack.

OH interesting. Ok I'll check that in a few. Thank you! I'll let you know as soon as I do it.
