Default CanCraft Steering Box

Anyone have experience with these? They are remans done right there at their shop in BC, Canada.

Do you guys see any reason for these to be superior to other available boxes?

Interesting. Their mention of "We ....... can remove all side-to-side movement of the pitman shaft in the gear!" makes me hopeful they're roller burnishing bushings in for the sector shaft bearings.

Although, it may be quite expensive if they're giving each box this level of attention

So I just spoke with these guys. They say they press in a bronze/al bushing to remove all slop. They're not using a roller burnisher which I find a little disappointing but presumably it works ok.

Pricing seems oddly low at $325 CAD plus $100 CAD core. In hindsight I failed to inquire about shipping cost....

pretty pricey to me as a new reman box is the same price here. They say there boxes are better then any store reman so I still may take the chance

We carry Borgeson steering shafts and can remove all side-to-side movement of the pitman shaft in the gear!
IF they are actually replacing the worn gear it may be worth it. But the pic of the box on their site the gear doesn't look new!

For now I've given up on remans and try to find new Lares or BBB boxes. Nope, they're not cheap, but I feel they're cost effective. How much time and gas did you use by the time the 3rd or 4th reman actually worked?
