I'm Back with a new peoblem
I have been trying to research for some possible on questioning the gray smoke issue and a lot seem to point towards rings or valve seals? Basically a sigh that the motor be on its way out. I hope I am wrong. The smoke is pretty thick and gets worse if you rev the motor up some. It did sit for over 5 years and was starting to seize up when I started to work on it so that may be the reason for this? Still doesn't explain the gas smell though. The heads were gone through before it sat. They cleaned and inspected so they were good at that time. I can't see them being bad other then maybe seal just gave out, My guess would be more will be known once I do the pressure check this weekend. I will keep you guys updated and go from there. Thanks
Gray is usually excessive fuel..... If it was running good before, it's likely just a wonky sensor. Have a look at the two-wire coolant temp sensor. (you should only have one. probably near the thermostat housing.) See if it is loose, or damaged. If you have a scanner that can read live data, see what the PCM thinks engine temp is.

Also I have the Zurich scanner 11 something, can't remember the correct name.
Also meant to ask you. I replaced the pvc and this new one clicks like crazy. I don't remember that last one doing it. I broke the old one by accident and that was why I had to replace it. lol
A clicking PCV is normal. That means that the valve is free and not gummed up with old oil/sludge. Hope you installed a MOPAR PCV that the truck calls for as some of the aftermarket PCV valves aren't metered correctly.
I believe I got it from Advance Auto. Damn thing clicks constantly. At the rate it's clicks. I would believe it will wear out due to it clicking at the speed of light. lol.
Hey, you got me thinking about the excessive fuel. I am starting to thin maybe the injectors I got from 1A Auto. I am starting to think maybe one or more may have went bad since I am smelling a lot of fuel but no leak source can be found visually. My question would how can you tell if spark plug is getting way too much fuel? I could pull the plugs after work tomorrow one at a time and see maybe whats going on. I kept my original injectors so all I would have to do is get new seals for them. I will pull a fuel pressure test before the plugs. Thanks for the help.

"New" does not always imply "Good" these days.....
