Default Do all of the 2001 dodge trucks(1500-2500-3500) have same body panels?

Hey guys. I’m 15 going to pick up my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500. Great truck, it’s actually my dream truck. I worked 46hr weeks all summer for her.

But the truck needs new doors. And around me there are good 2001 Ram 1500 doors, but are the 1500 doors as strong as the 2500 and 3500 doors? I do not want to put a weaker bodypanel on my 3/4ton.
please help if you can, thankyou!
-Lachlan.

They are the same, major difference between the 1500/2500/3500 is the suspension and axles, but body parts are the same.

Yes, the body parts are the same between the 1500/2500/3500 trucks. You just need to ensure that you get the right type of doors to fit your truck (extended cab vs. regular cab, etc.)

Cab and bed length are about the only differences. Also some minor differences between Sport, and non-sport. (front bumper, grill, headlights.)

Pretty much all panels from one truck will fit the same body on another. Regular cabs are all the same as well as 99% of the rest of the body. The only difference between the same year trucks will be the bed sides on a dually. A 1 ton with single rear wheels will fit too.

There weren't any SRW 1 tons in the 2nd gens. They were all duallies.

I've seen older SRW 1 tons. A friend has a 1989 that was built for the coal mines. Flat bed and no windshield or roof for low mine tunnels. Diesel to avoid methane explosions.

Yeah, that's a first gen. I have never seen a SRW 1 ton in the 94 to 02 generation. From everything I have read, dodge didn't make any.

No telling what they did for 2nd gen in the commercial line. There are all sort of cab and chassis as well as commercial chassis that they built. School busses will have a corporate dog house but the rest will be a body builder. In addition, I don't know about the last few years but UPS trucks always looked unique as they were built by various companies but had a custom body. That's why they didn't look like a Ford, GM or Dodge. I suspect that's why my buddy's '89 looks like it does.
