Default 2001 Ram 2500 Heater Issues

With the Temps getting cooler here I noticed my heat is lukewarm. I will try my best to describe what I noticed. According to my scan tool the hottest my cogent gets is 181 but instantly drops to 175 with a 190 Thermostat. If I am moving and put it on "Max A/C" it gets really hot like it should be. Coolant level is fine. I tried burping the heating core with the valve I installed on the outlet hose right after the heater core (since I'm on a body lift I thought air trapped). Both inlet and outlet hoses to the core seem to be the same temp.

Sounds like you may have a blend door issue, since the heat works well when you put it on Max A/C mode, which seems a bit counter-intuitive.

I agree. I'm young to try and get a chance to pull the blend door even though it seems to work. if you move the temp **** it will get gradually cooler.

You have the electric blend door. Drop the little motor, and see if the coupler has failed.

If the coupler has failed, might be time for a Heater Treater - https://heatertreater.net/dodge-ram-95-02

I think I may have found the issue. So when I rebuilt my box you are suppose to put the ac switch in the 12 o'clock position, it allows the mirror to "learn" I didn't do that. I think you guys may be right and I cracked the coupler. Once I figure a way to get that back screw out I'll tackle that lol

If you cut away a bit of the carpet, and use one of the z shaped screwdrivers, you can get it. It's tedious, but, its possible.

Actually have one of them in going to try.

See what makes me think it's the something to do with the actuator is I had to twist it under torque to get the screw holes to line up. It did get colder as you moved it but then it stopped changing temperature.

Default Fixed i think

I took out the actuator and programmed it. I verified with my DRB3 that it is showing the right voltage. Heated was HOT at idle
