2001 Ram 2500 Heater Issues
With the Temps getting cooler here I noticed my heat is lukewarm. I will try my best to describe what I noticed. According to my scan tool the hottest my cogent gets is 181 but instantly drops to 175 with a 190 Thermostat. If I am moving and put it on "Max A/C" it gets really hot like it should be. Coolant level is fine. I tried burping the heating core with the valve I installed on the outlet hose right after the heater core (since I'm on a body lift I thought air trapped). Both inlet and outlet hoses to the core seem to be the same temp.

I agree. I'm young to try and get a chance to pull the blend door even though it seems to work. if you move the temp **** it will get gradually cooler.

If the coupler has failed, might be time for a Heater Treater - https://heatertreater.net/dodge-ram-95-02

I think I may have found the issue. So when I rebuilt my box you are suppose to put the ac switch in the 12 o'clock position, it allows the mirror to "learn" I didn't do that. I think you guys may be right and I cracked the coupler. Once I figure a way to get that back screw out I'll tackle that lol

Using a tool like this makes the job bearable - https://www.amazon.com/425-5B-Straig...dp/B0028DGHQS/
See what makes me think it's the something to do with the actuator is I had to twist it under torque to get the screw holes to line up. It did get colder as you moved it but then it stopped changing temperature.
