4000cfm? that's alot! Which fans are those?

Edit Duh never mind . The kitabove duh. Sorry. 4000CFM from both fans makes more sense. Yeah that lools like it would work pretty good likwe you are talking about using it. Sounds sweet.

Looks like quite the discussion happened while I was gone lol

As for mine I'm still running stock radiator, I always felts the stock radiators were way over engineered but maybe not at these power levels

As for the OP I think the radiator is 32 or 34 inches wide? should leave enough room for dual 16s if you ordered another one, whichever way you end up going I hope it all works out

Theres also the option of a front pusher fan, I think alot of Cummins guys are going that way, I looked into it but im highly considering for what I have in already I can buy a replacement stock clutch and go back to the mechanical fan. Tough call as my 06 is no longer the main work horse so I probably wont see issues anymore

If you have interest in my FFD kit Im considering going back to stock there too. Since you loose the shroud you need aftermarket overflow and windshield washer tanks. Which I also have

what’s the FFD kit? Also if I install one of those Time delay switches listed in one of these replies. Would that help with the power surge on startup and turn off? I want it to work nicely. No bs. No overheating wires or blown relays. I wanna get it right.
for my first DIY fabrication and wiring type of job I’ve ever done. There’s bound to be a mistake but I’m trying to be as educated as possible.

edit, my power levels are bolt on power adders right now. If you can even call it that.
I have K&N CAI wit the heat shield and a Flowmaster super 44 3in to 2.5 dual out the rear. Cat back.

180° but I have no tuner so I think my PCM is struggling to understand it (I think, I was told to switch back to 195 stock but I haven’t gotten around to it)

my truck runs 170-175.

yesteday when it was raining I was having some fun spinning around and ir actually hit 205° and my headers was smoking 😭😭😭. Possibly need better cooling. Oh and by the way mf RAD is so bad lmao. The fins are allll messed up and the top of it is coming apart. I’ll take a pic of it today after work. I 100% need a new one. I flushed my block and cooling system and it was pure contaminants. Dirty as hell. (My dad used tap water for most of the trucks life)

that’s really it for power adders. Everything else has been cleaning it up and bringing the maintenance up to speed since my dad never really did much with it. Currently doing my Differential. Not fun.

1 more thing, picking up a 2nd 16in fan would actually be super useful. I already bought the fan controllee for 1 fan. To save some money and not having to purchase a completely new wiring kit. What do I add to make another 16in fan work?

also, what about my alternator? It’s stock specs. Not original alternator but is pretty old and the alternator Diode I think it’s called, whatever wire goes to the battery negative and to the back of alternator. It’s split at the end and has corroded copper showing.

This is what the 1 16in fan installation suggest. What about for 2? Thank you for helping me !

Add another relay, with it's own power source, to feed the second fan. You can control the relay with the same switch, or, use another one.

yes, you would want pin 30 on each relay having its own power supply and fuse
pin 86 could be shared between relays, as well as pin 85. Id like to see what relays they are using having it fused at 30amp, i think a 2.5amp would be plenty at most a 5amp

I didnt see the specs on the fans, being fused at 30 I wouldnt expect them to be using much over 15amps apiece, probably more like 10, your alternator should be fine, but if it ever goes out an upgrade wouldnt be the worst decision, especialy if you a big audio head also

i will actually be getting into audio soon.

It’s 10 amp each fan. 120W 12V

I think the relays are 40A
