Default 2wd to 4wd conversion

Has anyone did a 4WD conversion on 2WD? If so all info is welcome. I assume I can just snag the parts off a 4wd truck I know it’s more inclusive than that. But that’s the hope I can just junkyard piece it together.

This has been discussed several times before. The general consensus has been that it's best to get a 4WD truck.

Buy a 4x4 parts donor. (same year as your 2wd.) Transfer the body from the 2wd to the 4x4 frame. Cut the hole in the floor for the t-case shifter, and down the road you go.

Trying to put the 4x4 parts on a 4x2 frame is WAY more work than you really want to do.
