I just thought about this. I wonder if that spring is broken in the valve body? That was my problem it was going in and out in overdrive.

On that, I don't know. Would have to open it up, and have a look. On some applications, that spring isn't even there....... Which I found kinda puzzling.

I remember I was having a issue where it would go in and out on OD. Dropped the pan and the spring was broken in half. I have heard they can break but not show signs for months.
