Wassup guys quick question got this motor from eBay. Took me about 40hrs to get the old motor out and this one in noticed that the starter is in the way of the exhaust manifold did Jeep have the starter bolted on the opposite side ? If so how do you get around this to run exhaust ? I’m using the starter from my original block. Oh also ran it today to go the exhaust shop killed on me so now I got no crank or start jus a slight click from the starter. Everything else seems fine gonna try troubleshooting tomorrow after I get off work any advice helps thanks I’m advance.

Which side is the starter on?

 

I have '96 ZJ with a 5.2, and it has the starter on the passenger side.

 

That could be a problem.
