I fully agree they should have lasted longer.considering it hasn't been driven daily till lately. My plans are to change the crank sensor and do a full tune up minus the plugs since they were replaced. Finding Mopar replacement parts is a hunt in itself. This truck has ran smooth before so something is off. Fuel millage has been really good since I filled the tank Monday and have driven it back and forth to work ( Roughly round trip is 16 miles) and it has barely moved off the full mark. As you know, a lot of work has been done to the truck motor and transmission. I will say every once and a while it will take me a couple of times to start but most of the time it starts right up. I will update after this weekend. Hopefully I can chase this gremlin away. lol

I will be doing the tune up tomorrow but here to ask a question about fuel injection cleaner kit/tool. I have been looking into these kits that you can use to clean injectors as well as carbon build up. This is the hanging bottle type that you use with a compressor. I am also trying to stay in a budget range that fits for something I may use a few times over a course of a year. My thinking is 1) it would be nice to know the injectors are clean and working properly and 2) It say's it cleans up any carbon build up and something else I can't think of at the moment. It would make a good investment since I am sure it will save in cost paying a shop to do the same thing. Have any of you guys used or have one of these type of kits? Amazon goes from $55 to $300 very easy or even more. Also isn't there a filter on the intake side of the inject to protect it from clogging? I have seen some videos that say there is and talk about how to remove such screen but it will have to be replaced. I don't see anything when looking at injectors on screens or replacing them.. Thanks

It's driving ok but you can feel the misfire lightly when you start it up.
Since you haven't figured out if it's a fuel or ignition issue replace the ignition parts. Still have the issue put a timing light on the coil wire/plug wire and watch for the misfire. If it drops out you know it's ignition related.

I agree. This is why I am going to do a wire, cap and rotor change first. I figure it's cost effective getting the injector cleaning kit since a shop will charge me around or close to what the cost of a DYI kit and I can use it to keep up good maintenance. I just dread having to hang over the motor to change them. lol. I did check the plenum and it was clean. I will have to order a decent timing light online. Haven't used one since I was a kid.
