It's a 99. I have the Zurich scanner but I still haven't learn how to use it fully. I have done the live data deal but I really not sure how to read the numbers? I am thinking of maybe looking into something with in my budget that would give more detail. I didn't see anything that would list cylinders or maybe I may not being doing it correct? Cold start is when you notice it more. When you sit a coffee cup in the holder , it's shaking like crazy but again not violently but it's clear there is something off. lol

Should be listed as exactly that, misfire counters. Not all scanners will give ya that info though.....

Yeah, I couldn't find anything on this scanner. I did get a code again P420 which I cleared and seeing if it reappears again. I may have to find a mechanic I can trust to see what he can find. I catalytic convertor is going bad, I can get one and see what the cost would be to replace this one. If I am correct, this would have something to do with the #8 cylinder right?

Good possibility.

New cap/rotor/wires/coil, good ones https://www.ebay.com/itm/232601757817?hash=item3628252879
Use copper spark plugs gapped at .040, none of that fancy stuff, yes, the inexpensive ones. Champion 436 or Autolite 5224. K.I.S.S.
The cat itself won't give any codes, the rear o2 sensor would pick it up if the cat is bad. If the cat was having problems converting the gasses you would get a different code. Anything past the upstream o2 sensor isn't monitored for fuel management or timing. It needs to have a baseline with new quality parts. Be honest to yourself when you think new parts. Have you tried taking the #8 wire and spark plug out and switching with another cylinder plug and wires to see if the code moves?

I didn't skimp this time and went with full upgrade all copper and Champion plugs as suggested. The code showed up before the new injectors and then again after replacing them. So far the code hasn't returned. Upper and lower o2 sensors ( Denso) were just replaced when transmission was done. Idling you feel it lightly misfire but as I said in earlier post when your driving at set speed ( 40 to 50 mph) it act almost like back and forth hesitation. Sorry terrible at explaining. The PO420 has came up twice as a generic code in my reader. I believe my gas millage has gotten worse. lol. I am beginning to question is maybe some of that hesitation may be with the transmission? I have done pretty much the normal things to solve such issues. I had a PVC valve that was clicking all the time and it was new but I found a OE pvc and replaced it so far the clicking noise seemed to stop. I'm honestly scratching my head at this point.
