Default Engine bay cleanup

What’s the best way to clean the grease off the engine?

I don’t think my alternator ground wire is routed correctly. Can someone tell me where it should be going?

Haha. Yeah that’s no ground… which I should have known since I had to fix some skinned up portions. Anyway, something is wonky with it. It’s in the way when I put the air cleaner on.

I typically get the engine warm and shut if off. I spray it liberally with Gunk engine degreaser (or equivalent) and let it sit and work for awhile. Lastly, I'll restart the engine and wash the engine down with a water hose, being careful no to get too much water on the distributor. If the grease is heavy and thick, I may have to repeat the process.
