Ordered new pcm started truck and same problem within a few seconds it pops 1763,1762. I tested voltage and with new pcm I get 4.8 volts with trans harness disconnected.

5.18 volts pin 4 on unplugged trans connector no continuity between pin 2 and 4 with trans connector and b2 unplugged. I don't get it. Is there anything else on 5v reference circuit that could be causing this

Ok, sensor return signal is Connector 2 pin 1 for temp, pin 29 for pressure. Pin 4 is ground...... It's entirely possible the trans temp/pressure sensor isn't the only sensor to use that ground, so, voltage there, even with the trans unplugged, might be normal. You need to see what voltage is on pin 29.

My bad. Pin 29 no voltage at pcm. I been troubleshooting this and testing resistance on what I thought was 29 but was 28.

Ignore my last reply pin 29 has 5.18 volts on pcm to ground. The numbers on connector had me confused for a second

I get to step 8 on this procedure and that's where I run into a problem

So you are still seeing 5 volts and the sensor return wire AT the trans? (trans disconnected.)

Should pin 29 at c2 pcm have voltage. I would think that the pin would receive signal voltage not put out voltage. But it's hard to believe that both the old and new pcm are bad with exact same problem
