Default Pcm bad?

I am a new member in need of help with possible short or pcm problem. I have a 2001 ram 1500 with 5.2l. I Last year i had a p1740 and replaced governor pressure solinoid and torque converter filter and fluid. Truck ran and shifted fine. I am currently getting p1763 and p1762 code. I replaced governor pressure solinoid and transducer again and also installed transgo shift kit in valve body. I cleared codes but as soon as I start truck check engine p1763 within 10 seconds. I tested pin 4 the signal wire for gov pressure on trans harness plug and am getting 5 .14 volts with plug disconnected from transmission I should only be getting I volt or less I think. I searched for a short in wiring and found nothing. When I unplugged pcm c2 I tested voltage at pin 29 on pcm and am getting 5.14 volts is this normal or is my pcm bad. Sorry for long post

With the trans disconnected, you shouldn't be seeing ANY voltage on pin 4..... You have either a short in the harness, or the PCM has gone bad. Test resistance between pin 4 and pin 2, with ignition off, C2 and trans unplugged. Should be infinite, if it is, bad PCM, if it isn't, short in the harness.

Also would a resistor work on wire to pin 4 to bring voltage in range

For 2001, I believe the PCM will need to be programmed to the VIN.

PCM needs to be programmed to the VIN, and no, a resistor won't work. That's pressure feedback from the sensor. The PCM needs to know that for proper trans operation.
