Default 46re block on transmission

I got a 1997 dodge ram 1500 5.2l with a freshly rebuilt 46re. The coolant line block with the check valve on the front of transmission is not letting fluid into the line so I'm planning on just deleting the block and just having it run right to the back of transmission out of the output line but I can't find the right coolant line adapter to go to where the block went into transmission. Or just replacing the block but i cant find a replacement.Or possibly just replacing the lines im not sure any advice would be appreciated thanks, I would really like to get this figured out so I could get this Ole dodge back on the road after 4 years,

Theres the block

Does the check valve unscrew from the block? If not, maybe just drill it out, and clean it really well.

Where is that located? The check valve is in the line near the front.

Do you have a photo or two that you can share of where exactly that block bolts onto and where the line from the block connects to? Not sure if this setup is aftermarket or factory?

This is a first time that I think I've ever seen a line setup like that on a 46RE transmission case. Does your transmission have another feature like a PTO (power take-off) or something else special?

Definitely not factory! I think it may be a temperature bypass valve. Used to bypass the cooler at low temps.
