Default 1998.5 2500, Can I put Fog lights on their own switch? They come on with parking and

Hi, Right now the fog lights come on as soon as parking lights are turned on Position 1, they will stay on when the low beams are turned on but turn off when the High beams are turned on. Am I able to separate them so i can control when they come on? I believe they are factory set up.

Thanks

Your headlight switch should control them, but, all it does is 'enable' them to be on with the low beams. I do believe there is a relay in the PDC to provide power. Install a switch to control that relay, and you have control of the fogs.

Gotcha, I will have to try and find the relay, electric is not my strong point. I would not mind using a factory style switch which I believe was a 1 year only and was near the air bag, not sure how I would wire this.

The factory switch just enabled the relay, the fogs will still only be on with the low beams, and off with the high beams. It was incorporated into the headlamp switch for the 98.5 update. I think ya pull it out to enable them, or some such.

I just would like to be able to control them like my 04, I can have parking lights by themselves or add the fogs same with Low beams.

You should already be able to do that...... Do you have the pull switch for the headlights, or the rotary switch?
