changed front hubs onm a 96 2500 on the right soide between the rotor and hub, I found what looks liek a spacer? the is NOT one on the left side, shoule I put it back in or toss it
Oh by the way I blew the left front hub apart in a slow turn leaving work at a stop sign, the right side is teh one making noise not eth left, but the left just disenagtated
I'm guessing that's a tapered shim for camber, but can't tell from the pic. If you liked how the truck drove before and tire wear was reasonable, then yeah I'd replace it.
That said it needs to go back the same way or could have the opposite effect or cause toe in/toe out

If it's truly not tapered, then it's optional
A tapered shim between the wheel and hub? No, that's not for camber, as the wheel rotates, it would induce a wobble. No clue why it would even be there......
I have used spacers, thick/slim, in the past and if properly installed there wasn't a problem. That spacer, maybe because the tire was rubbing on something or the other one was removed and not put back on. I always used a spaces in pairs. Torque the lug nuts to factory specs. I'd keep it off and see if you notice anything different.
theres no taper inside or out the way my hunb comes apart is you remove the studs then seperate the rotor from the hub, said spacer was between teh rotor and hub
both front tires rub the upper bars that go from the frame to the agxle holding it ion place they are 275/70R18's I need 265/70R18's or 255's so they wont rub anymore
