Default ABS codes

I have a 98 Dodge ram 1500 5.9. It has been acting up such as it will die at low rpm hit and miss when I shut it off I have trouble getting started back it bucks every know and then going down the rd and has a long shift. There is no check engine light on. I hooked a Innova scanner up to it and got 3 ABS codes 45,47 and 65. Are these codes my issue?

The ABS codes shouldn't be causing those issues. You can download the service manual for your year truck here - https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html I believe the explanation for the ABS codes are in the brake section of the service manual.

How many miles is on the engine? Has your plenum gasket been changed and/or the timing chain and gear set? How is the fuel pressure on your truck (what's the PSI reading and is it consistent)? When was the last time the truck had a tune-up?

Default Truck

180,457 miles on truck head gaskets and plenum done right around 2 years ago new plugs and wires bout 14 months ago. Not sure about fuel pressure, I dnt drive the truck alot but I always started it and let it run or take it around the block at least once a month until this issue came up.

I'd suggest checking and cleaning the throttle body. The well behind the Idle Air Controller in the rear of the throttle body tends need a thorough cleaning periodically due to carbon build up. Best to remove the throttle body for a thorough cleaning and replace the throttle body gasket when re-installing the throttle body, as the gaskets are pretty cheap.

That's likely part of the problem. Swap 'em out with some standard copper plugs. The rare earth fellers seem to be really hit or miss in these trucks. Some folks have zero issues, others have nothing but issues....
