Default 1996 Dodge Ram1500 5.2 magnum 4x4

Hey guys new to the forums. So I grew up in a transmission shop. Turing wrenches for a while. I teach the boys (8-17 years old) the basics in mechanics. So my Dodge was puffing white smoke so it was my turn for a big overhaul. Picked my 5.2 out of my truck and took it my living room! Yes wife not happy at first but after while it was ok . 2 years later (a month ago) she went back in! Now she crank pops blops blop no start. I’m not Shure where to post everything I’ve done and diagnosed and get some advice?

Was almost done

You wanna be in the 2nd Gen Tech section. (I'll move the thread there for ya.)

Is it backfiring?

Very nice paint work and detailing on your engine.

If you're dealing with backfiring and no start, have you possibly re-checked engine timing and fuel sync?

You can always record it and post it as a YouTube video and post the link to it here in this thread...

What process did you use to setup/time the distributor and set the fuel sync?

I pulled the distributor before I put it in the truck so when I put it back in I put the motor at DTC reset the oil pick up tube just to make Shure that when I drop the distributor it would be close .. got the rotor facing cylinder #1 and put new cap and rotor of corse
