It's free, and easy, so, worth a shot.

ok , I tried resetting the tcm and I did a battery disconnect for an hour, didn’t solve anything , same code . So I’m here looking at the wires now, I have a few questions , I think I have the right 8 pin plug but seems to be a hard task getting it off I want to make sure it’s the right connector before I start really pulling on it I’m attaching a picture , (it also only has 3 wires going into it).

(The fluid is from my motors oil pan leaking a bit and ran down ,trans pan is tight and fresh gasket)

Nope. That's the nuetral safety switch. The 8 pin is further back, same side, and above it a bit. It plugs straight down into the the valve body.

Just out of curiosity , what would be the best manual trans to swap into this if I were to take that route?

So I have finally had enough of the automatic , now I’m looking for an nv4500 as per suggestion.
now I’m having a hell of a time finding one , any idea where to buy one? I’m gonna need the pedal and all the works so I’d prefer to buy it all in one place if possible. I will be taking it to a shop for the swap

They are indeed becoming hard to come by. What you are looking for is a truck that came from the factory with one, that you can get "cheap", and salvage all the parts you need from..... Buying every piece-meal is time consuming, and expensive..... Finding one nearby is the hard part..... Car-Part.com might help. Worth a shot anyway.
