Default 46rh input shaft sloppy

Im replacing a flexplate that didnt last very long. I was about to do the front seal when i noticed the input shaft being crooked and sloppy.

You can see the big gap at bottom but not the top. If i wiggle it, it sounds like metal on metal.

is there supposed to be a bushing or something to stop that? Is this unit hooped??

Literally everything going wrong right now.

Those are supported inside the torque converter, so, I don't think it's too much of an issue. If the trans works properly, run it, see what happens.

Those are supported inside the torque converter,
Converters have bearings inside, The end of the splined shaft is smooth for it to go in a bearing to "center" the shaft.
