Air likely is flowing, it just switches to the defrost vents. Look in the FAQ/DIY section for 'wild vents', the fix is in there.

That's wild vents. Yup. The entire system is vacuum controlled, the default setting, when vacuum fails, is defrost. When you step on the gas, manifold vacuum goes down. If your plenum is blown, the problem is even worse.....
