Angry Radio/Speakers

So my head unit went out, I bought a new head unit and hooked it up. No sound. The amp on the back of the unit hooks up, but no sound. Are my speakers blown? How do I reset the wiring in case that is the issue?

What was in there originally? What did you replace it with?

Recheck your wiring. Does the amp need a separate power feed? Or a trigger wire from the head unit?

Does the wiring use the proper adapter. I always dread going in when someone just cuts wires. It leads to issues like this down the road. When I replace the factory unit with an aftermarket one, It's plug and play when you use a simple kit.

The Mopar radio wiring from the mid 1980's to 2001 was pretty simple. Keep in mind the signal to the speakers has a positive to and a negative from th speaker. Older radios grounded to the chassis but that changed around 1980 or so.
