I just noticed the high beam indicator is on in the picture. Unless the headlights were on and switched to high beam that shouldn't happen. Check the grounds on connector 1 pin 4&5 (black/orange and black/light green).

thank you, I will do that right now. Just to be sure connector one is on the left correct? This gauge that is showing the headlight is a gauge I just picked up from the junkyard yesterday. It is for my 2002 Dodge ram 3500 however it is powered by the mag 360 5.9 which is the same gas motor that I am using. I wonder if anyone can help me find this image diagram of these connectors. I am trying to determine whether or not the gauges are actually getting the proper signals, even though my OBD two can read.

The FSM is not very clear on this but as far as I can tell the right connector is C1 (the left connector is missing one contact which makes it C2). The top 2 right pins should be the grounds.

All the wiring and pinouts etc. are in the FSM: https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...e-manuals.html

I took the truck to the computer reading shop and they thought that it was related to the ABS module not being the original one for the truck.(struck by lightning.) so when they read into the computer system, they were getting a vin mismatch. They rebuilt the original ABS module and I still get no gauge cluster so they want me to try and source a different pair of gauge cluster
