I think it's only three wires, power feed, (I think it's 5 volts, but, might be 8......) ground, and signal to the cluster.
I try that out when weather gets better and my other project gets running. Got the truck put up for winter and got a sn95 mustang 302 turbo im building thats got my main focus
Speedo is driven off the VSS in the tailshaft of the t-case. I suspect if you simply gave that sensor five volts, the speedo would start working. (assuming the rest of the wiring for it is still there......)
the transfer case i have in the truck does not have this sensor. The one i took off the automatic and sold did. So what can i do about that?
You can probably just swap the t-case out, or, worst case, swap the input hub from the new one, to the old one. I *think* there are some differences between manual, and auto, and that is one of 'em..... Does it really matter? Not sure on that. Might be able to just do a straight swap, and call it a day.
I suspect the return signal from the rear sensor is gonna be different than what the speedo expects, however, I do believe there are cool little boxes to address that particular problem.

Do some searching. If it was on a can buss you can get converters to do it. A 95 is not on a can buss. I was researching modern engine swaps in older vehicles and how to convert the can signals to run analog gauges. I think you need something like this, But you need to know pulse rate and what voltage the gauge needs.
