So I had a leak out of my supply line, and decided to look. Turns out it was cross threaded on so when I took it off and went to retighten it, it stripped. Now I can not get the nut to bite the threads.
I really don’t have the money to replace the radiator, so I’d like to find a way to replace the bolt coming out of the radiator. Is this possible?
I took off the securing nut on the bolt, and then the bolt would dip back into the radiator, spilling some antifreeze, but the bolt doesn’t seem to detach anywhere or pull out from the radiator. Does it? Looking for any temporary fixes so I can at least get to work tomorrow.
The coolers are a piece of brass pipe that run between the fittings(bolt as you put it). No way to replace them. I would just get a external cooler and run the lines to it.
So it's the male threads visible that are boogered? It appears that way but the photo is not exactly high resolution. I'd run a die over them even though it looks like they're done for. I have no idea what thread pitch would be -- I just figure that out w calipers and thread pitch gauges.
But the brass fitting should unthread, unless the hex is just there to allow you to hold it when tightening?
On many radiators (eg '06-10 Exploders) the cooler line discos are notorious and you often just have to unthread the whole fitting from the radiator -- it's simply easier and safer.
And yeah, refer to it as a trans cooler fitting as Moparite said. It's not a bolt. Proper nomenclature may still aid your quest here if you inquire with others.

this is almost exactly what I was thinking, but three other fairly decent mechanics told me that it should be removable, so that’s why I came here because I couldn’t figure it out.. I ended up doing this as a temp fix.
