Default 2001 Ram 1500 body side seal

Hello this is my first time in a forum, I've been looking absolutely everywhere for a part for my truck but it seems to be discontinued all over the Internet and now I don't know what to do. This is the part. Body Side Seal, Upper, Secondary - Mopar (55275460AD). It isn't the normal weather shipping that goes all the way around the cab, it's like a secondary seal that's above and attached to the body and it almost acts like a rain water redirector idk how to explain it. The problem is that my seal ripped off so now I have extremely loud road noise and it's a really big problem. Since this part is no longer available anywhere in the world right now I don't know what to do does anyone have any suggestions on where to find this part and or how did Jerry- rig this back to normal??? Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.

LMC Truck? There are also a couple places that specialize and various weatherstips/seals, though, not real likely for our trucks..... might be worth giving it a search though.

Welcome to DF!

Was trying to find a diagram but no luck. I see it listed as a-pillar seal. Does this seal the windshield or doors?

it seals the doors, its a body seal that sits above the normal weather stripping and is basically parallel with the roof. Here is a picture

Yeah, I saw that pic but was hoping to see it in situ. Clearly I've never noticed it before and don't have any 2nd Gens here to reference ATM

I'm assuming you found this place, too. It's the first Google hit when I search the part #, but I can't see where they claim they have the equivalent to the EXACT part #

Maybe worth an inquiry with the company?

Check LMC and look for Drip Weatherstrip.
I replaced both sides of my 2000.
It slides on the cab above the weather strip that seals the doors.

I don't think it will to hard to find a truck in junk yard where you can get that. You may be lucky and find it NOS. I don't know if anybody reproduces it. Try EBAY or car-part.

Forgot to update, LMC trucks had the part it was listed as a body seal. If you type in your year and truck model it will pop up with the part. The part is nice and thick and a great replacement. I had to use a little bit of WD-40 to lube it cause you have to slide it in place starting at one end. Thanks everyone and hopefully this helps the next guy.
