Need three things, in the right proportions, and the right timing, for it to run. Fuel, air, and spark, lack any one of those, and it won't run. If you are getting spark, but it still won't run....... even though you have fuel PRESSURE, you still have a fuel problem. Verify you are getting injector pulse.....
man with that said is it common or rare and how would I confirm it’s the pcm to be 100%
Only way to confirm for sure is to swap it out, and see what happens. I suspect it is just getting hot, and failing..... But, no real way to prove that. But, if you have replaced pretty much every other part that makes the engine run, and it didn't change anything..... that's all that's left. Unless, of course, you got a bad NEW part right out of the box, with the same failure mode as the part it was replacing. Highly unlikely, but, not completely out of the realm of possibility......
Could try this...... Get a small cooler. Throw in some of the 'bagged' ice packs.... Have 'em good and frozen, go for a drive. When it quits, slap an ice pack on the PCM for a few minutes, see if the truck starts.

I’ll try that sound kinda barbaric but I am not gonna question it but I’ll try it because it will crank and if it runs it will run and then shut off and sometimes like I said when I got it to the shop for the mechanic and he ran his tests. It was running backwards after a hiccup and started running backwards and it running backwards makes me a little bit concerned with everything that I’ve replaced and somebody else is telling me it could’ve been the distributor, but it’s a brand new cap rotor and pick up with wires and spark plugs. All brand new and the ignition coil still works flawlessly have the Excel coil and I’ve had that for a couple years now, but I do have a new one, but the PCM I mean, I’m at I’m still kinda fairly new to the computers and everything and this is the first time this is ever happened. I will test it out but with that also make it cause to run it running backwards after a hiccup or could that be something else cause I’m still worried about it running backwards and the damage that could be doing inside the motor.
Swap out the coil first.... since you have one..... See what happens. If you still have the same problem, start looking for a used PCM. A junkyard unit will work, but, leave some of your dash warning lites on, until you get it flashed to your correct VIN. (assuming the truck runs good, and doesn't do the same thing.... or have a new problem that came with the PCM.......)

update I got a call from the mechanic. He said he would he got it running smoothly from what he was telling me over the phone. He’s gonna take it for a test drive in the morning. He says it was probably just overheating and there was a problem with the coolant as far as what he knows he’s gonna check a few other things he does believe there’s a heating issue somewhere in the electrical thing. He’s not 100% sure about the PCM and I kinda did tell him a little bit about the PCM and everything that mean you’ve discussed so far he’s thinking it was just Hot and I have two dual electric fans that’s controlled by a temperature switch and an on off switch so yeah if I park it and the fans keep running for longer than about an hour or two it doesn’t kill the bed. I can do the Killswitch and turn off the fan so I don’t drain my battery but he’s only he’s gonna take it for a test drive tomorrow and see how it is and how it handles after setting up he did say that it is empty, but I assured him that it’s a full tank of gas when I swap the fuel pump like filled to the brim essentially, which I know is probably very bad but AMI gauge doesn’t really work so have to go off of your mileage so he’s gonna take a more in-depth look and he’s only having that in the back of his head about the PCM, is there anything that you suggest to be looking out for that town to look out for if it could be the PCM and not just you know coolant or anything like that for Moore no hands on I do believe this is the first time he’s working on this generation of Dodge or this generation of truck I know it does a lot of imports and European and stuff like that. He does a lot of American make cars, but not anything this old from the experience that he’s that I’ve had with him back in the past when I worked in retail for O’reilly is in advance he is very knowledgeable. I do trust him because I used to sell parts to him and ask him a bunch of questions but other customers vehicles so I just I just wanted to reach out and I’ll let you know what he told me and everything like that, but is there anything I should keep my mind on for or to inform him about the PCM or any tips or tricks? I could let him know to look at I’m not sure how in depth his knowledge goes about these generation of Dodgers or anything like that and I did share them this form via text message so hopefully he can see this.
I don't think this is an engine overheating issue..... it may be a contributor.... but, given some of your symptoms, and the SHORT interval you get to drive before it dies again........ Yeah...... Somethin' else is goin' on there.
