Default 2001 1500 sport

Been scratching my head now with my low beams turn the switch all running lights work just fine no low beams flip the high beams on all lights work, check lights fuses all good. Replaced light switch on the dash nothing replaced multi switch on the steering column also nothing. Checked wires behind column switch just fine checked for power to ground and got 12v. Not sure if anyone else has had this or really where to go next.

all 4 do come on with the high beams I pulled the passenger side and also check the filament and I thought it looked alright, I thought it was weird if they both went out at the same time though

Switch controls the ground side of the circuit, power feed is directly to the bulbs..... I browsed thru the wiring diagrams, but I am just not seeing anything that would account for your symptoms...... Have the headlights EVER worked properly? I believe there are two different bulbs in each housing.....

I thought it looked alright
Need to check it with a meter, I have seen bulbs "look" ok but fail the resistance/continuity test. You can find manuals here.

Check here. Download the Factory Service manual for your truck.
